Frequently Asked Questions
Anytime Doctor has put together the most common questions patients ask us about the service. Please contact us if our frequently asked questions do not answer your query.
1. Is this this service legal?
Yes. It is legal to buy certain medicines through online consultations in the UK. We are one of only a handful of online doctors who are authorised and regulated by the Care Quality Commission. Some foreign websites offer a direct shopping basket of prescription medicines; this is illegal and should be avoided for your safety. You will only be prescribed medication after you have had an online consultation with a licensed doctor.
2. Where are the prices?
At Anytime Doctor, we aim to offer you similar pattern of healthcare as if you were to visit your normal GP for a face to face consultation. We believe it is important that you complete a medical consultation and receive a diagnosis by a licensed doctor before you are offered treatment options. Once a doctor has approved you for treatment all prices are clearly displayed. Your registration and medical consultation is free
and you are under no
obligation to purchase any treatment after your consultation.
3. What is an Online Doctor service?
Anytime Doctor offers you safe, cost effective and reliable private prescription service for medical conditions that can be safely managed by online doctors using remote medical consultation questionnaires. Anytime Doctor does not attempt to replicate the face-to-face care that your GP provides. The price you pay covers a full range of services which includes advice, consultations, prescriptions and dispensing and supply of treatments.
4. Do I need see with my own GP first?
All services for which you can have an online consultation are low risk and the entire online consultation process is designed to make a safe and accurate remote diagnosis. We always recommend that patients inform their own GP of any treatment they receive however this is your choice and we will not contact your GP unless you ask us to.
5. How do I obtain my treatment?
We have designed a very simple process. Simply register for free and then submit a free medical consultation for a doctor to assess. If you are approved for treatment, you will be sent a text message asking you to log back into the website to purchase your medication for next day delivery. We do not charge for delivery.
6. Other websites allow me to purchase my medication immediately, why do you have a prior approval stage before I can purchase medication?
Our process is designed with your safety in mind and is very fast. You are not allowed to purchase prescription-only-medicines (POM's) without first having a medical consultation. It is illegal to provide patients with the price of medicines prior to a medical consultation. If you encounter a site which lets you directly purchase prescription-only-medicines they are breaking the law and could put your health at risk.
7. Why do you offer erectile dysfunction treatments?
Many men find erectile dysfunction hugely embarrassing and the medicines that are available on the NHS are severely rationed. We provide a safe online impotence clinic to let men safely obtain their medicine at cost effective prices.

No. Current best practice guidance from the British Medical Association (BMA) expressly forbids doctors in the UK from prescribing any narcotics or addictive substances through an online consultation.
