Get a standby medical bag containing prescription only medication to treat illnesses abroad
The Anytime Doctor Travel Pack® is a doctor designed medical bag to treat illnesses abroad. It is intended for travellers who wish to have a standby medical bag containing prescription only medication, sterile dressings, sterile gauzes and sterile needles. Our packs go above and beyond first aid kits available over the counter.
We offer a customisable travel pack intended to provide peace of mind when travelling. Our travel pack add-ons cover everything you might need for travel to countries where medical care does not meet UK standards. If you are off on a longer trip or on a GAP year, then you can tailer your pack especially for long term or more adventurous remote travel. We also have medicine add-ons designed to be taken on sailing holidays or for executive travel. Whatever your needs, we are pretty sure we have a pack to suit you as our packs are designed to be tailored to your health needs.
You will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire, where you tell us about your current health and any medicines you may already be taking. Don’t worry if any of your medicines are known to interact with any contents of our packs - our doctors will only prescribe suitable medicines for you.
When you are abroad, top quality medical care is not always easily accessible. With an Anytime Doctor Travel Pack® you can be sure to have a standby pack of medical supplies to treat simple medical problems immediately. You will not need to worry about finding a doctor, pharmacist or worry about the quality of locally sourced medication and medical supplies.
As part of your Anytime Doctor Travel Pack®, you select standby medication that is prescribed for future use. This is particularly important with regards to the antibiotics contained in the pack. They are specifically prescribed for you keep in reserve should you develop a bacterial infection without access to good health care whilst abroad. The enclosed travel pack instruction sheet has detailed information about how to identify such an infection and when to take medicines. You should always seek medical advice when possible and use extreme caution when using antibiotics ordered with your pack. If you need any assistance, you can contact our doctors via your patient record from anywhere in the world.
Antibiotic resistance is a very real danger, caused by overuse and inappropriate use of antibiotics. To avoid contributing to this issue, it is very important that you only use antibiotics when necessary, and never without medical advice. Symptoms caused by viruses will not respond to antibiotics. Taking antibiotics when you don’t need them puts everybody at risk.
All services provided by Anytime Doctor are safe, fast and confidential. You can obtain treatment within the privacy of your home and without the inconvenience of waiting for an appointment.

Any global traveller is advised to carry some sort of medical bag when travelling abroad. You are especially advised to carry medicines and supplies if you are travelling to remote locations. This includes locations where medical care may not be of the same standard you are used to, or where you may not be able to get medical help quickly. You must be at least 18 years old.
The questionnaire is designed to ensure that the prescribed medication is safe for you. But you must answer the consultation questions honestly and accurately. The pack is designed to be used if you get ill whilst abroad, and where immediate medical help is not available. The questionnaire is therefore verifying in advance, which medication you could take should this situation arise. However, we do stress that should your symptoms persist, you should seek medical attention.
Traditionally only over the counter remedies are available in a standard first aid kit - some work very effectively and are therefore included in the pack. However, prescription only medicines are more powerful than over the counter items and when infection is present, rapid treatment is often required. This will help you relieve your symptoms more quickly, reducing the potential of ruining your trip or symptoms becoming worse.
Different medications have different expiry dates. Medicines and products inside your Travel Pack have use by dates ranging from 3 months to 12 months. The reason for the shorter expiry on some medications is due to the possibility that your medical details change during this time and that the prescribed medicine would no longer be appropriate for you. This is in line with prescribing and dispensing guidelines in place to protect the safety of all our patients. Please read the labels and do not use out of date medications.
If you already have a Travel Pack, ordering refills and repeats is fast and easy. Simply message a patient coordinator from within your medical record. Individual refill items are available from £15.
The sterile needles and syringes available in the packs are to be handed over to medical staff treating you, if you have concerns over healthcare equipment. They provide peace of mind where sterile equipment cannot always be guaranteed.
Some GPs may be willing to do this on a private script, but NHS prescriptions can’t be used for foreign travel.
Many of these drugs will be available over the counter in some of the countries visited but they may not contain active ingredients, as counterfeit medicine is very common abroad.
Every year over 30 million trips from the UK are undertaken all over the World. We have surveyed our patients and travellers and we know that over 80% of travellers get sick when abroad. The majority of travellers get travellers' diarrhoea and approximately 30% of travellers catch a respiratory tract infection which can be easily managed with antibiotics.
Through Anytime Doctor's online travel clinic our doctors were managing a large number of travellers who required extra prescription only medication (such as Amoxicillin Tablets and Gentamicin ear/eye drops) on top of our travellers' diarrhoea service. However, by purchasing travel medications separately for a trip, costs rapidly added up. Our Travel Pack contents are sourced using our bulk buying powers and hence we save you money. To purchase all available items within a Travel Pack separately could cost you over £250. Our doctors can manage you online, and the medicine bag is sent to your registered address. A Travel Pack can safeguard your health. If you are abroad and get sick you can immediately treat minor medical problems.
