Doxycycline 100mg

Buy Doxycycline for travel

Doxycycline is one of the antibiotics found in our travel packs and is to be used for lung, bowel, urine and sexually transmitted infections. Please remember that it is always best to be examined by a doctor to ascertain if you need to take this antibiotic. There may be more targeted antibiotics available for your need. Taking Doxycycline when you don't need to contributes to antibiotic resistance, a global health problem.

All our products are genuine UK medicines and are dispensed by our partner pharmacy based in the UK.

Unfortunately, there are many websites selling counterfeit or fake medicines, including antibiotics such as Doxycycline. To ensure you only ever buy real medicines online, always use a registered online doctor and pharmacy. Registered doctors and pharmacies will have links to their registration credentials with the regulating bodies they subscribe to in the UK.

Doxycycline and amoxicillin are both broad spectrum antibiotics that target bacteria and are therefore used for bacterial infections. They work slightly different from one another though. Doxycycline is bacteriostatic, which means that it inhibits the growth of bacteria. Amoxicillin is bactericidal, which means that it kills bacteria. Deciding which antibiotic to use will depend on the bacteria causing the infection.

Yes, you need a prescription to buy Doxycycline as it is a prescription only medication. This also applies when buying antibiotics online. Anytime Doctor Will only issue your prescription after you have completed a full doctor assessment for the travel pack.

In the UK all antibiotics require a prescription. Whilst travelling, you may come across countries where antibiotics such as Doxycycline are available over the counter. We do not recommend you purchase antibiotics over the counter like this or online without a prescription. If you do not get your antibiotics from a reputable source, you may risk buying counterfeit or fake medicines which can harm your health.

You should not lie down immediately after taking Doxycycline as it is known to cause irritation to the food pipe (oesophagus). It is also best to avoid taking Doxycycline before going to bed.
