Premature ejaculation treatment
Dapoxetine - NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ONLINE CONSULTATION
Anytime Doctor is aware that some online agencies supply dapoxetine for men with premature ejaculation. Following a review of the evaluated published evidence, Anytime Doctor does NOT offer a premature ejaculation (dapoxetine) consultation service for the following reason:
1. Dapoxetine belongs to a group of medicines called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). SSRIs can have a wide range of potential side effects, ranging from seizures (fits), to having hallucinations (seeing and hearing things that do not really exist).
2. The summary of product characteristics (SPC) for dapoxetine makes it very clear that your doctor must do an orthostatic hypertension test prior to initiation. "Before treatment is initiated, the physician should obtain a careful medical history focusing on past orthostatic events and also perform an orthostatic test (blood pressure and pulse rate, supine and standing)."
Due to potential side-effects, it is important that you only take these types of medication after a face-to-face consultation and supervision by a GP/doctor. Their guidance about whether the medication is suitable for you, the correct dosage, possible side effects, and any harmful interactions with other medications, is crucial.
This information is based on evidence at the time of publishing and will be reviewed when more evidence is available.
