About Flixotide

Description

Flixotide Inhalers contain the active ingredient fluticasone propionate. This belongs to a group of medicines called corticosteroids and has an anti-inflammatory action on the lungs.

Suitability

Do not use Flixotide Inhalers if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to fluticasone propionate or any of the other ingredients listed in the patient information leaflet.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or are breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine.

Important Interactions

You must tell your doctor if you are taking, have recently taken or might take other medicines, in particular:

a type of antiviral medicine known as a 'protease inhibitor' (such as ritonavir) or cobicistat containing products which may increase the effects of fluticasone propionate
medicines used to treat fungal infections (such as ketoconazole)

Looking after your medicine

Do not take medicines after the expiry date stamped on the pack. Keep all medicines out of the reach and sight of children.
