Lamisil 250mg Tablets

Buy Lamisil for Fungal Nail Infections

Lamisil tablets contain the active ingredient terbinafine hydrochloride. They are an effective oral antifungal medicine because the medicine goes into your bloodstream to reach the fungal nail. Lamisil will not work if your nail condition is not caused by a fungus. Lamisil is a brand version of terbinafine hydrochloride, which is also available as generic terbinafine tablets - both have the same strength active ingredient. Patients are required to have a finger prick blood test to check their liver function after 4 weeks of treatment. Finger prick test is included with your order and is simple to perform at home.

All our products are genuine UK medicines and are dispensed by our partner pharmacy based in the UK.

Please Note

All medication can cause side effects. We have only listed a few to be aware of. Details of all side effects, including rare side effects to be aware of, are listed in the patient information leaflet (PIL). When completing your medical questionnaire, it is very important that you answer the questions truthfully. This is to ensure your doctor has a full picture of your medical history before prescribing. List all medicines you are already taking, including non-prescription and herbal medicines.

Alternatives

There are many non-prescription and prescription only topical preparations available, but toenail fungus is very hard to eradicate using creams and lotions. The fungal spores grow under an infected nail which makes it extremely difficult to treat as topically applied medicines cannot penetrate or get under the nail easily.

Looking after your medicine

Do not take medicines after the expiry date stamped on the pack. Keep all medicines out of the reach and sight of children.

Medicines are only intended to be used by the person they are prescribed for. Do not give your prescribed medicine to anybody else, even if they have the same symptoms as you. Medicines can be harmful if used by anybody other than the person they have been prescribed for.

Terbinafine hydrochloride is the name of the drug found in Lamisil fungal nail tablets. This medicine is used to treat fungal nail infections and can be used for both fingernail and toenail infections. When taken orally as tablets, Lamisil can be very effective at treating fungal nail infections. It is typically much faster at treating fungal nail than topical solutions and creams that may be available over the counter.

Lamisil fungal nail tablets are a prescription only medication which means that they have to be prescribed by a doctor. You can get Lamisil prescribed online after completing a full doctor consultation. Whilst over the counter products are available to treat fungal nail, they are usually a lot less effective and typically take much longer to treat the problem – often up to a year. There are some Lamisil creams available over the counter, but they contain a much smaller amount of the active ingredient terbinafine hydrochloride and are mainly used for fungal skin infections.

Lamisil tablets can affect the way your skin reacts to sunlight and can make you burn much more easily. It is therefore advised to avoid sun exposure (especially tanning beds) whilst taking Lamisil. It is also advised to limit alcohol and caffeine intake whilst taking Lamisil tablets. Always read the patient information leaflet for a full list of precautions and side effects before taking your medicine.

To ensure the safe prescription of Lamisil tablets, our doctors will assess your liver function after 4 weeks of tablet use. With each 6-week starter pack, you'll receive a 10% discount code for MediChecks, allowing you to obtain a straightforward finger prick blood test kit for home use. This kit includes clear instructions for collecting a blood sample by pricking your finger and depositing the drops into a small tube. You can conveniently return the sample using the prepaid envelope to MediCheck's partner laboratory. Your results will be emailed to you.
