Trosyl 283 mg/ml Solution

Buy Trosyl to treat fungal nail infection

Trosyl (tioconazole) nail paint is a topical treatment for fungal nail infections. Topical treatment means that you apply the medicine directly to the affected area. It is an alternative to oral medicine and is often prescribed for mild fungal nail infections that do not affect the whole nail. Some people prefer topical treatments because fungal nail tablets can cause side effects. However, for a nail paint to be effective you need to be patient and may need to apply the paint for up to a year.

All our products are genuine UK medicines and are dispensed by our partner pharmacy based in the UK.

Please Note

All medication can cause side effects. We have only listed a few to be aware of. Details of all side effects, including rare side effects to be aware of, are listed in the patient information leaflet (PIL). When completing your medical questionnaire, it is very important that you answer the questions truthfully. This is to ensure your doctor has a full picture of your medical history before prescribing. List all medicines you are already taking, including non-prescription and herbal medicines.

Alternatives

There are many non-prescription preparations available, but toenail fungus is very hard to eradicate using creams and powders available over the counter. The fungal spores grow under an infected nail which makes it extremely difficult to treat, as over the counter topical creams or powders cannot penetrate or get under the nail.

Looking after your medicine

Do not take medicines after the expiry date stamped on the pack. Keep all medicines out of the reach and sight of children.

Medicines are only intended to be used by the person they are prescribed for. Do not give your prescribed medicine to anybody else, even if they have the same symptoms as you. Medicines can be harmful if used by anybody other than the person they have been prescribed for.

The active ingredients within Trosyl (tioconazole) nail paint gradually go through the nail to reach the nail bed and kill the toenail fungus. The biggest drawback of topical solutions is that they take much longer to work. This is because they have to penetrate the nail before they can kill the fungus. Topical fungal nail treatments may have to be applied for up to a year before they are effective. Many patients simply lose faith that it is going to work and give up much sooner, often before it has had a chance to be effective.

Although topical solutions such as Trosyl can be very effective when used correctly, they can take up to 12 months to fully work. Therefore, if you are looking for a faster way to cure your fungal nail infection, you may wish to consider taking antifungal tablets Lamisil or the generic terbinafine instead.

Trosyl or tioconazole nail solution is available only with a prescription. This means that it is not available to buy over the counter. This is because Trosyl is stronger than fungal nail creams and solutions available over the counter.
