Fucidin Cream is only available with a prescription. You cannot buy it over the counter without a prescription. It is also available as eye drops or ointment. It is also available as a cream combined with an anti-inflammatory steroid, called Fucidin H Cream.

Fucidin Cream is used for bacterial skin infections. It is not an antifungal and will not work on fungal skin infections.

It usually takes a few days for Fucidin Cream to work. It is important that you use your Fucidin Cream as directed by your doctor or as indicated in the Travel Pack instructions.

The Fucidin Cream included in the Anytime Doctor travel pack does not contain hydrocortisone. Its active ingredient is fusidic acid. The name for Fucidin Cream with fusidic acid and hydrocortisone is Fucidin H Cream.

Whilst both contain fusidic acid, these are two different medicines. Fucidin H Cream also contains hydrocortisone, an anti-inflammatory steroid.

If you accidentally use too much Fucidin Cream, it is unlikely to cause you any harm. But if you are worried you should always seek medical advice. You should avoid getting this cream into your eyes and always wash your hands after use to avoid getting it into your eyes by mistake.
